THREE LOCAL SCHOOLS RECEIVE MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLAR IN STATE GRANTS

Sebastopol, CA, January 26th, 2007—A Sonoma County architectural firm, Persinger Architects and Associates, has been working with the Kelseyville, Guerneville and Liberty School Districts since last spring to get them money to do critical roof replacement. This month all three districts received letters from the state telling them that their projects had been funded; Kelseyville received $415, 069, Guerneville received $627,590 and Liberty received $421,463.

The state has a program called “Extreme Hardship Deferred Maintenance” through the Office of Public School Construction. If the school can show they have an emergency situation then the state will give them a grant to pay almost one hundred percent of the cost. Persinger Architects offers this pro-bono service to smaller districts that don’t have facilities people to do it themselves. “This is a great deal for a small district with no developer fees and no bond money to spend,” noted Persinger.

Persinger Architects and Associates is a family run business headquartered in Sebastopol that specializes in institutional and commercial projects throughout California. For additional information, go to www.persingerarchitects.com.
